Blossom Health Foundation was founded by registered nurse Familia (Fanny) Mima after a life-changing experience in Zimbabwe in 2016, where she witnessed firsthand the impact of limited access to essential healthcare. Today, we work to bridge that gap by redistributing medical supplies and supporting education in underserved communities.
The foundation was born from a deeply personal experience in 2016 when Fanny traveled to Zimbabwe to care for her mother suffering from complications of an untreated diabetic ulcer. This exposed a critical gap in accessible healthcare for individuals without resources.
At the same time, usable medical equipment is often discarded while communities remain in need.
Blossom Health Foundation exists to bridge this gap by collecting, repurposing, and distributing medical supplies across Canada and Africa, while investing in education for long-term change.
Support Our MissionWe focus on immediate healthcare support and long-term impact through medical redistribution and education.
We collect usable medical equipment and supplies that would otherwise go to waste and redirect them to hospitals, clinics, and families in need across Canada and Africa.
We work with local and international partners to improve access to essential care, mobility aids, and life-improving medical resources for underserved communities.
We invest in future healthcare leaders by supporting education through scholarships and school funding, helping create sustainable, long-term change in healthcare systems.
Your donation today will create the next story of hope.
